The Villa Gemma B&B is located just a short walk from the Historic Center of Ravenna, characterized by a large pedestrian area that includes the most important streets for walking, shopping, and visiting monuments, foremost among them the complex of the Basilica of San Vitale and the Mausoleum of Galla Placidia, which are part of the city’s 8 UNESCO World Heritage sites.
Villa Gemma is an old manor house that underwent a significant and complete renovation in the 1930s, which characterized it in its current 20th-century style, with hints of neoclassical and Art Nouveau influences.
Since that time, the villa belonged to a single family until three years ago. With its recent acquisition, the new ownership has carried out structural interventions to enhance seismic safety while preserving the elegance and tradition of the building. They have also equipped it with the necessary technologies to improve comfort and energy efficiency, in line with current national guidelines.

At B&B Villa Gemma, you’ll find comfortable, bright, and quiet rooms, partly furnished in the style of the era, each equipped with a private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, linens, and air conditioning.
Breakfast is served on the ground floor in a room overlooking the internal courtyard, which used to be the old farmhouse courtyard, featuring the characteristic central well for water supply.
The courtyard is surrounded by old buildings where, on the upper floors, the servants used to live, while the ground floors were used as barns and stables; in fact, in some rooms, you can still see the troughs for the livestock. In the courtyard, guests can unload and load their luggage, and upon request, a charging station for electric vehicles and/or parking is available. There is also a facility for storing bicycles equipped with maintenance accessories, and outdoor seating for moments of relaxation. Wi-Fi connectivity is available throughout the property for guests.
